CISO at Samsung Semiconductor & YL Ventures Advisor
"Many startups assume that they have a new idea or solution when they really just have a different approach. I've sat through several demos where I'm no longer interested in hearing more due to the complexity around solution integration. Every environment is different, and you can't expect to just install it or drop it inline without a custom integration. We need simplicity though, not more complexity.
Bottom line: Bring new solutions, not new ideas on how to do things faster and be more efficient. If you're selling efficiency, it's likely something that can be resolved without investing in another solution that will require another resource to manage it. Today's market is already oversaturated because many leading vendors say they offer UBA, CASB, etc., simply because they have access to the data or web and network traffic. So, it's even more difficult for entrepreneurs to get face time with CISOs."
